The following are subject headings that may be used in the Library Catalog
when searching for books, videos, and audio materials in Latin American Studies.
The list below is by no means exhaustive, but is meant to serve as a starting
point
Caribbean
Note: Some countries in the Caribbean are considered to be Latin
American countries because they were colonized and ruled by the Spanish at some
point in their history. Haiti is one of those countries. Countries such as
Jamaica and Trinidad were settled by the English or Dutch and are not considered
to be Latin American countries.
