ENG 101 & 102 - Ansari - Fall 2017: Find Books

Advice for Finding Books

Remember that books are not as specific or as current as magazine & journal articles. You may not be able to find a whole book on your specific topic. Instead, you may need to look for a broader topic, then check the contents and index pages of the book to see if there is a chapter or section that is relevant to your specific topic.

Find Reference Sources in the Databases and in the Library

Reference books include encyclopedias, dictionaries, and other sources of facts, statistics, definitions, and overviews of topics. Credo Reference is a database that includes articles from many encyclopedias. Ask a librarian for help to find a reference book on your topic in the library.
