Citing Sources: Bibliographic Management Software

This guide covers citation formats, online citation generators, citation software, and recommended websites dealing with citation.

Bibliographic Management Software

Bibliographic management software allows you to create a database of references.  You can enter a record manually or import it from a library catalog or periodicals database.  Once a record is entered, you can create a bibliography, search the database, and format references in a particular style (i.e. MLA) while working in a word processing document.  For a comprehensive list of software and comparisons, see  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_reference_management_software Note: This site was not necessarily composed or edited by a professional!
