Citing Sources: Books on Citation

This guide covers citation formats, online citation generators, citation software, and recommended websites dealing with citation.

Getting Citations Right

Citation can be tricky--right down to the spacing, the italics, and the colons. Each format is different and you might be required to use APA in one class and MLA in another. Also, there are multiple material types: books, electronic sources such as databases, interviews, etc. Compiling a Works Cited page or bibliography can be a real challenge. Assistance is available at St.Louis Community College--Florissant Valley, Forest Park, Meramec, Wildwood, and South County Education and University Center. Trained staff will help you get your citations right. See the following link for locations and hours. http://www.stlcc.edu/Student_Resources/Academic_Resources/Writing_Assistance.html
