Textbooks

A guide to textbooks inside and outside the library.

About Textbooks

This Guide will:

  • Explain how to find what textbook is needed for your course, using the bookstore website.
  • Show you how to use the STLCC Libraries' catalog and the MOBIUS catalog to check other libraries for your book.
  • Point you to sources for purchasing or renting texbooks.

Note: The STLCC Bookstore is the primary source of textbooks for your courses.

The Libraries do have textbooks on reserve for a limited number of courses. At best, this works as a way to get through the first week or so of class while waiting for your textbook to arrive.

Need help finding or using your textbook?

Textbooks

You can find out which textbooks you need for class by visiting the STLCC Online Bookstore. Once there, you can Log In to see the books needed for the courses you've registered for. If you haven't registered for courses yet, use the Find Your Course option to search for a particular course.

E-textbooks

Your instructor has experience using the textbook assigned for your course, and should be your first point of contact if you are having difficulties using your e-textbook. If your instructor cannot resolve the issue, you may contact the STLCC IT Help Desk for technical issues, or the STLCC Bookstore for access code issues.

STLCC Libraries cannot provide access codes for textbooks purchased through the STLCC Bookstore.
