Using Library Databases

You can find a lot of news articles by just searching on the internet. Why use library databases?

  • some articles on the internet are behind a paywall; the libraries subscribe to give you access
  • library databases include published resources, which are more likely to be credible
  • databases are structured with additional search features such as the ability to filter by publication date
  • some library databases include a citation tool
