Reading

Welcome

"Once you read you will be free forever" Frederick Douglass

This guide is designed for the Reading instructor as well as for the student of Reading, and anyone interested in the subject.  That should include just about everyone since reading is considered a foundational skill essential to functioning fully in today's world.  As Roald Dahl, said, “If you are going to get anywhere in life you have to read a lot of books.” But quite apart from any practical concerns, reading has a profound effect on one's inner life.  To quote Gordon B. Hinckley, when reading "‘good books’ there comes a richness of life that can be obtained in no other way.”
