William J. Harrison Education Center

Located in the historic JeffVanderLou neighborhood is the William J. Harrison Education Center. The building takes its name and mission from Dr. Harrison, an educator, historian and civil rights activist. The center provides credit and noncredit courses and contractual training to bring opportunity to an underserved area. The education center is the city’s first “green” public higher education facility of its kind.
