Vaccines

Getting vaccinated (and getting your vaccine booster) is the best way to protect yourself and others. Check with your local authorities to learn more about how the vaccines are rolling out in your area.

This is the state's website for vaccine information. Check here to find out which groups of people are currently eligible to be vaccinated.

The federal government is sending out four free COVID tests to each household - request yours through this link.

Theresa Barila is the co-founder and current CEO of the Children’s Resilience Initiative (CRI) based in Walla Walla, WA. CRI's goal is to build capacity within the various partner agencies for a unified approach when dealing with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Recognized internationally for her work, Teri travels frequently, training communities to develop strategies so that “Resilience Trumps ACEs”. Serving as CEO of the Children’s Resilience Initiative, Teri is involved extensively in training, consulting, writing and researching in the area of trauma, resilience and community capacity building.
Stress in America 2020 Stress in the Time of Coronavirus, Volume One
APA survey conducted by The Harris Poll from April 24 to May 4, 2020. Surveyed online: 3,013 adults age 18+ who reside in the United States. This is the first of at least three monthly surveys APA and The Harris Poll plan to gauge the impact of the pandemic on stress.

Trauma-Aware Teaching Checklist
This checklist has been prepared for higher educators as a tool to reflect on their teaching and courses, regardless of modality. The six principles of trauma-informed care developed by SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) are a foundational concept in the trauma field. In this checklist, they are adapted to the field of education to assist teachers in creating more trauma-aware classrooms. Includes a link to presentation slides, "Trauma-Aware Online Teaching."
