The Chronicle of Higher Education is your source for in-depth articles about current issues faced by universities & colleges, along with data and analysis on the latest higher education trends, statistics, and salaries. Special issues include The Trends Report, Diversity in Academe, and The Almanac of Higher Education. STLCC faculty, staff, and students have a couple of ways to read The Chronicle online:

Create an Account

Create a user account using your @stlcc.edu or @my.stlcc.edu email address for more direct access to the Chronicle. 

1. Open the Chronicle website or database (use either link in the box above).
2. At the top right of the page, click on LOG IN.
3. Near the bottom of the page, under the LOG IN form, click on Create an Account.
4. Fill out the form using your STLCC email address. You also have the option of subscribing to newsletters from the Chronicle. At the bottom of the the list of newsletters, click on Create a Free Account.
5. You will receive an email asking you to confirm your email address and activate your Chronicle account and log in. Once you have confirmed your email address you can set up your password.

Use your Account

Once you have created a Chronicle account, you can log in to the Chronicle website to:

• Enjoy full access to all articles, including Premium Content
• Manage your Chronicle newsletter subscriptions
• Join the discussion by posting comments

Your user account allows you to bypass the STLCC Libraries link and login; you can log in directly from The Chronicle website.
