STLCC offers a Certificate of Proficiency Program in Early Care and Education. The Certificate of Proficiency is a 30 credit hour program option that can be completed in one year, offering the first step toward an AAS degree.
STLCC also offers an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Child and Family Development. You will investigate leading theories of child development and methodologies for curriculum planning and assessment. Through class lectures, observation studies, field work with mentor teachers, service learning and opportunities for discussion with award-winning faculty, you will engage with the best practices designed for the study of young children and families.
