Hispanic Heritage Studies

The City of St. Louis joins in paying tribute to the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society.

The mission of this organization is to improve business opportunities for Hispanic firms and professionals thereby improving the economic development of the St. Louis region.

A group of volunteers who coordinate Hispanic festivals and presentations throughout the St. Louis area and whose purpose is to unite all Hispanics regardless of their social, economical and political background. At the same time, share the rich and colorful Hispanic culture with the Greater St. Louis area.

The Hispanic Leaders Group promotes and supports the advancement of our vibrant Hispanic community through networking, education and advocacy to foster harmony and diversity in the greater St. Louis region.

Nuestra Comunidad: Hispanic St. Louis Past, Present, and Future. Join us for a conversation with leaders in the Hispanic community. Learn about the historical impact of Hispanics in St. Louis, including the complex relationships among Spain, Mexico, and St. Louis during the colonial period in the late 1700s as well as during the Mexican Revolution in the early 1900s. A panel discussion will focus on the pivotal roles Hispanic communities play in shaping St. Louis today, the importance of intentionally contributing to the historical narrative, and the ways we can all work together to preserve stories for the future.

When kids and teens learn about culture, they broaden their view of the world and deepen their understanding of others.
At Boys & Girls Clubs, about a quarter of our members identify as Latino or Hispanic. Clubs encourage kids to embrace their identities and cultures – building pride and self-esteem.

Hispanic Federation serves as a national model for Latino social, political, and economic empowerment. With a strong presence in New York, Florida, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, and other key states throughout the U.S., HF works to uplift millions of Hispanic children, youth, and families across the country. In addition, our Washington, DC office gives HF a true national advocacy presence. HF works locally, state-wide, and nationally to strengthen Latino nonprofits, promote public policy advocacy, and bring to scale a portfolio of innovative community programs.

The Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum join in paying tribute to the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society.

The National Museum of the American Latino observes Hispanic Heritage Month between September 15 and October 15 each year to celebrate the Latino community.
