Remember that anyone can post YouTube videos. While there are many videos with accurate, high quality information, videos with inaccurate or misleading information have been posted as well. Before citing a YouTube video in a paper or incorporating it into a presentation, it is highly advisable to check with your instructor concerning the acceptability of the video for the assignment.

Videos in the STLCC Libraries Catalog

STLCC Libraries carry quite a few videos, including some on culinary and cooking-related topics. Certain videos and dvds may be requestable from campus to campus. Other materials (marked in the catalog with a notation such as "LIB USE ONLY") are not requestable, and must be viewed on the campus where they are housed.

NOTE: Make sure to notice what format the video is in. In the library catalog, look for "VHS" or "DVD" after the call number of the item. You can limit your video search in the catalog to "DVDs" or "Videocassettes," using the Specific Video Recording dropdown menu located at the bottom of the Advanced Keyword Search page. If you do not have the ability to play either format at home, you may view them on a player in the multimedia section of your library.
