ArcherSearch is a search tool (discovery service) that searches many sources simultaneously. 

You will find books, ebooks, videos, articles, and links to databases or library guides. Get the most out of ArcherSearch by using the limits listed under All Filters under the search box.

A search for the words revolutionary war brings up thousands of results. At the top is a Research Starter - an encyclopedia article that gives an overview of the topic. This will stay at the top even after you use filters. Notice that the next item found is an eBook. If you only want eBooks, use the All filters button (circled), then Source type, then choose E-books from the list and Apply Filters. In the same way, you can use the Source type filter if you only want magazine articles, videos, or other types of sources. You can also filter by publication date (All time), subject term, and other criteria. 

The image below shows the Detailed Record that appears when you click on the title of a search result. The detailed record screen contains author, date, source, and subject headings, and may include an abstract (summary). The Tools in the top right corner of the record allow you to email, print, save, and cite.  Click on the Access now button to see the different ways to access the article. Since ArcherSearch finds results in many different sources, you often have to follow a path to locate the full text.
