About Videos

Videos can be a rich source of information for research, adding visual, sound, and movement to illustrate concepts beyond what can be described in words. Feature films and documentaries on DVD are available in each campus library, and are listed in the library catalog along with the books. Streaming video can be accessed through the library databases. These range from short educational and historical film clips to full-length movies and documentaries.

Khan Academy

The Khan Academy is a nonprofit with the mission to provide a free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere. It was begun by a very smart individual helping his niece out by tutoring her. He began to make videos and the rest is history. Created by experts, Khan Academy’s library of trusted, standards-aligned practice and lessons covers math K-12 through early college. Individuals may create free accounts to access many resources and practice at their own pace, first filling in gaps in their understanding and then accelerating their learning. A selection of topics are listed below. Viewing the videos below do not require a user account.
