A project sponsored by Washington University in St. Louis to preserve and make accessible the digital media captured and created by community members following the shooting death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO.
Using Ferguson as a case study, students will explore the media coverage and the protests that followed—driven to a large degree by social media—and learn to become informed and effective civic participants in today’s digital landscape.
"Ferguson Voices: Disrupting the Frame" is a podcast, a multimedia exhibit, and a website produced by the Moral Courage Project, a human rights storytelling initiative and collaboration between PROOF: Media for Social Justice and the University of Dayton Human Rights Center.
