Films on Demand provides access to over forty thousand educational films on a wide range of subjects designed to support and enhance the college curriculum. Short educational videos, full-length documentaries, interviews, debates, and archival footage are all represented from over 40 producers including BBC Worldwide, PBS, Films for the Humanities and Science, National Geographic, HBO, Intellecom Learning, and others. Off-campus access to Films on Demand is restricted to current students, faculty, and staff of STLCC. Log in by using the STLCC Libraries link in Canvas or your regular Single Sign On username and password.
Download the Films on Demand mobile app from Google Play or Apple Store. Create a user account from within the Films on Demand database, then use it to login to the mobile app for easy access to videos on the go.
Best Practice: include the name of video in the text in your course, so that students can find it in the Films on Demand database if they need to use an alternative method of access.
Tips: You can also create a user account in Films on Demand to create and store your favorites and playlists.
Use this link if you would like students to access the full functionality of the Films on Demand interface, including viewing the transcript, segments, and citation.
This will open the video in full-screen. Captions may still be turned on using the "CC" button at the bottom of the video.
