Organization Websites

Organization websites are often rich sources of information about the organizations themselves (mission, history, contact information, etc.), as well as the work they perform. Such sites frequently link to valuable related information, too.

American Numismatic Society
The American Numismatic Society is "a museum and research institute devoted to the study of coins from all periods..." including coins from ancient cultures. MANTIS, the Society's online database, contains information on "coins, paper money, tokens, ‘primitive’ money, medals and decorations, from all parts of the world, and all periods in which such objects have been produced."
