The Mindset Kit is a free set of online lessons and practices designed to help you teach and foster adaptive beliefs about learning.

Earn up to nine graduate credits per year for $225. For one low annual fee of $225, Missouri NEA members may take one course each term (fall, spring and summer) to complete up to three graduate courses in 12 months. Or they may take two courses in the summer and skip either the fall or spring semester. Each course is two or three graduate credit hours, so educators can earn from six to nine graduate credits. Choose from 17 self-paced, online courses for professional growth or salary advancement. MNEA partners with Central Methodist University and Virtual Education Software to offer these courses.

A Three-day institute based on Ken Bain's award-winning and best selling book What the Best College Teachers Do* (Harvard University Press, 2004) and James Lang's highly lauded instant classic Small Teaching (Jossey-Bass, 2016). "We are building a new and even more exciting Best Teachers Institute for 2021 with optional features and even more Active Learning as participants build their own Super Courses and explore the ideas of a Natural Critical Learning Environment and the Pedagogy of Getting Out."

To support community colleges, CAORC offers fully-funded overseas seminars that help faculty and administrators gain the requisite first-hand experience needed to develop and improve international curricula. The Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) recognizes the immediate and growing need for U.S. community college professors to provide a global perspective to their students, who now account for nearly 50 percent of all American undergraduates. Administrators and faculty at community colleges understand the value of developing “internationalized” learning environments that both broaden their students’ cultural horizons and foster critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills for an increasingly interconnected world.

At ACUE we believe educators are the key to student success. One way we support faculty create more inclusive and equitable learning environments is through microcredentials, which faculty earn on their pathway to being ACUE certified. ACUE equips faculty with the evidence-based teaching practices proven to: Increase Student Engagement; Ignite Deeper Levels of Learning; and Improve Persistence to Graduation. Faculty who complete all microcredentials earn the full ACUE Certificate in Effective College Instruction, endorsed by the American Council on Education (ACE).

Online courses on current topics related to the first-year experience and students in transition. Registration fee per course: $425

A face-to-face and virtual course redesign community specifically for faculty and faculty development professionals. The Teaching and Learning Academy helps participants develop and apply evidence-based teaching practices to improve student learning in rigorous, high-failure rate gateway courses — strategies that often do not get applied without strong, continuous support. Application fee is $1750 (2021 rate)

Presenter: Karen Costa, faculty development facilitator specializing in online pedagogy and trauma awareness. Are you a trauma-aware educator? While trauma isn't new, the COVID-19 global pandemic has moved many higher educators to learn more about trauma's impacts. Learners who complete this fully asynchronous workshop will be able to define trauma and identify its impacts on both teaching and learning. Karen will introduce you to her trauma-aware teaching framework. She'll share a scope of practice model for college faculty to help you set healthy boundaries as you begin to more deeply explore trauma's impacts. Cost: $29/individual. Time to complete: 3-4 hours​.
