Help for Faculty

Make a Reserve Request

Students find it very helpful to have a copy of the textbook or course readings on reserve at the campus library, especially during the first few weeks of classes. When you place a textbook on reserve, you are making available for students to use in your campus library, usually for two hours at a time.

Please use the form below to request a course reserve item.

The libraries do not automatically receive copies of textbooks. We will purchase textbooks to place on reserve by request, if possible. Textbooks supplied by faculty or by the department are greatly appreciated.

Course reserves are placed only during semesters when the course for which those materials were requested is in session, in compliance with copyright law. The materials that are placed on course reserve are generally removed at the end of each semester, unless otherwise specified.

E-books

We attempt to buy electronic copies of textbooks when possible. Not all publishers allow libraries to purchase textbooks to make available to students. In some cases, we can help you track down open resources (OER, Open Educational Resources) or other alternative materials from the library collections.
