Course Guides

Course guides provide students with a customized starting point for finding the best resources for the particular information needs of the course. For many courses, there is already a library Research Guide that provides this for the subject area. If you have a unique assignment or other reason for a more customized guide, consult with us to create one for you. An instruction librarian may also create one to use in a library instruction session.

Course guides can be very simple, with just a few links to key resources such as those recommended for a specific assignment or used in an instruction activity. They can also be much more complex.
