Help for Faculty

Library Resources

Instruction librarians can help you find, vet, and curate resources from our library collections.

Some examples:

  • Research Guides specific to your discipline are automatically linked in your Canvas course. Select the Library Resources folder to view them.
  • Link or embed resources such as a video, a favorite database for an assignment, ebooks, articles, or a full text run of a journal title.
  • Some of our ebooks allow for unlimited simultaneous users, making these texts perfect for affordable course textbooks.
  • Librarians can help you find OER (Open Educational Resources) to use or adapt as textbooks or supplemental materials for your class.

Collections of books allowing unlimited simultaneous users:

Video Resources

These guides include links, descriptions, and guides for using the library video databases and other video resources. The guide for faculty includes instructions on using some advanced features such as creating clips and playlists, embedding or linking videos in Canvas, and requesting films to be added to the library collections.
