Browse and Filter
The default is an array of images for each movie by genres and categories including "most popular" and "recently added." Select the genre or category label to see all the films in that category.
You can also select the menu for options to browse by genre or title. Browsing by title will open a complete alphabetical list of all the films included. This list can be filtered by genre and by MPAA ratings using the drop-down menus. When you browse by genre you can filter within a genre by language (audio and subtitles, very useful to find films in Spanish) and by copyright date.
Post Links in Canvas
Do not use the URL from the top of the page. Instead:
Click on the Embed/Link symbol </>
Copy one of these links:
The Record URL will open the information about the film with a play button.
The LTI Link will open directly to the film (with no surrounding information).
Paste the link in Canvas.
To ensure accessibility, name your links with meaningful text. For example, use the name of the film rather than "click here."
Even though embed codes are available on the Feature Films for Education platform, their support team has communicated that “due to DRM issues, Feature Films cannot be embedded in Canvas. The only alternative option would be to hyperlink the record URL's instead and that way the users would be taken to the movie right away.”
